philosophical: How safe is the "Absolutely safe capsule"?

Just to get this out of the way, if you haven't played through mother 3 this is all about something that happens at the end of the game, so this means spoilers. With that said, for those who have played know the miserable and questionably ethical fate of the main villain Porky (Pokey). Being stuck in a capsule that ensures "absolute" safety but can never escape. And being that he is (supposedly) immortal, he will be alive in that capsule for presumably eternity. A discussion I was thinking about is what does that mean exactly for Pokey being stuck there for eternity in "absolute safety". How much physical damage could this capsule take? If the planet just blew up on itself, would the capsule just be fine and he'd be safe to just float through space and continue on wherever he gets drifted? What about physical needs for Pokey? Does it keep him safe from starving or dehydrating (if he even eats at this point). Love is considered a need, would the capsule somehow provide that? Would Dr. Andounts even bother designing a capsule that incorporated all of that?

Also what are your thoughts whether its more ethical to let him have this fate or to just kill them
