    if you sleep in the saturn peoples place while jeff has a ruler and protractor almost every time he fixes what you have in your inventory. i've even gone out and fought someone and came back and slept and fixed 3 things in a row this way. eventually it stops working but if you come back later it works again (at least for me, unless its been a real crazy coincidence)

    i am VERY new to the mother/earthbound series so i apologize if i'm asking a question that has been answered a million times already, but i just can't seem to locate the answer.

    is earthbound the localized version of mother 1 or mother 2? i'm pretty sure it's mother 2, and in that case, why does playing earthbound make sense story wise if it's technically a sequel to another game? i'm not playing the game first hand, i'm watching someone stream it. however, while watching, the story seems cohesive and it didn't seem to start out with the assumption that the player has already played the first game. basically what i'm asking here is why does playing earthbound give the impression of a stand-alone game, when it's technically the sequel to a first game?

    i have the assumption that earthbound is both mother 1 and 2 combined into one game released to America, but i haven't found a source to back that up.

    Seriously, if she gets a few levels, she murders EVERYTHING you run into. She's just casually punching craters into people as Ninten wonders why she's not the one on the journey in the first place.

    What IS that phenomena anyway? She's a temporary party member, but I remember seeing gameplay by lets players years ago, and I always remember them mentioning how nonsensically powerful she was.
