Fire Emblem x Earthbound

Nintendo needs to do something new with the Earthbound franchise. Perhaps they are afraid it won't be profitable or there aren't enough fans of the series. So recently, I began playing my first fire emblem game (fire emblem gba) and I'm loving it. I understand a little more now why there are so many fire emblem characters in Smash Bros. However, the entire time I've been playing, the concept of a fire emblem and Earthbound crossover has been stirring in my mind. Keep the fire emblem formula, team turn based combat, but switch out swords for baseball bats, axes for frying pans, and lances with yo-yos. Nintendo could also add in popguns and and slingshots for ranged weapons too. And of course PSI would replace magic. I think the ideal character ideas would be new original characters but if not, Ness and his friends since they are the most well known. But they would need to add in more original characters for sure. Enemies could include thugs like the sharks, new age retro hippies, angry bag ladies with frying pans, zombies, starmen and so on. I feel this would be a great way for Nintendo to rake in some more Earthbound fans and fire emblem fans. The game would be honestly a guaranteed money maker is long as it stays true to both franchises. I've been thinking about this a lot and I'd like to hear from bigger fire emblem fans than me. I have only played one game and I may be missing some new things that have been added since gba times. Please comment your ideas and suggestions. If you've never played a fire emblem game, give it a chance and tell me what you think.
