    I just finished Earthbound. It’s gotta be one of my favorite games out there and it’s the first to really make me tear up.

    I love this game. I loved the whole ride through and through. I also loved Mother 3. There's just something about this series I love. Maybe it's the style, or the spirit. I don't know, but I'll always come back :)

    Just noticed an odd bug/glitch? Potential spoilers

    Unfortunately, I did not get a pic or screenshot.

    But I was in the Dusty Dunes Desert, in the Monkey's Cave. Got to the end, but realized I didn't have the pencil eraser in my inventory. So I go back to the drugstore, phone up Escargo Express, and have it delivered. Well, it went to Jeff, instead of Ness. Get back to the pencil statue, menu to the pencil eraser in Jeff's inventory, and the text states "Ness used the pencil eraser". When, normally, an item used from a given characters inventory will say "Such-and-Such used the item" or "Such-and-Such took the item out, and So-And-So ate it".

    Might not really be a bug or glitch, I just don't think the developers thought that that item would be in anyone else's inventory. Bored, so I thought I'd share. Anyone else have other instances like that?

    Undocumented discovery(I think) Also endgame spoilers for Earthbound.

    I discovered this about a year and a half ago. You know the clanking sound that's made when you're robots at the end of the game? It turns out it's actually the same effect as the sound that plays when you take steps in Magicant. Neither are their own sound, they're part of the soundfont for the songs that play in those areas, those being the Magicant theme and the Cave of the Past theme, and if you go out of bounds into a different area while you're still Ness in his pajamas or the team as robots, the sound will change depending on the soundfont of the song that's playing for the area you're in. For Twoson, it's a quiet trumpety sound. The "unique sound effect" that plays in the watery areas of Magicant when you go out of bounds isn't a unique sound effect, it's the Magicant walking effect but for that area. Since you always walk in water, which has its own sound, for that area, it just didn't make sense to turn the sound-footsteps off, so they didn't.
