    I feel like this never comes up in relation to the Mother series but the 1953 film Invaders From Mars definitely feels like an inspirational seed.

    Smart, child protagonist. Evil tentacled alien uses towering faceless goons tries to take over by taking over the minds of humans. Strange music. Dreamlike atmosphere. Definitely worth a watch.

    I'm slightly disappointed how easy M3's final boss was, also EB:B worth playing?

    Don't get me wrong, the story was fucking amazing. This series is an instant all-time favourite for me.

    That being said, I had a really hard time with Giygas last week (that cast was around lvl 97). And so I was expecting the same kind of challenge out of M3. This time the cast was around lvl 75 and Porky was a breeze... I kept waiting for his final form to be revealed until after the credits, but it never happened.

    I still loved it for the story. But the fight with Porky did feel like it lacked the epicness and climax that Giygas had. I guess you can chalk this up to my expectations being too high, but can you blame me after experiencing EB?

    Should I have played hard mode? When I play a game for the first I never choose hard mode because I assume it's only for veteran players...

    Anyway, do you guys recommend I play EB:B to round out the trilogy? I'm interested considering how much I enjoyed the other two games but skeptical because there's not a single NES game I've ever enjoyed or found worth playing... Maybe it's because I'm gen Z but for me the NES is the cut-off point where graphics and gameplay have just aged beyond playability. (I did download EB:B soundtrack because that still rocks)

    Sorry for the random rambling post, just needed to vent some thoughts after this 8-day Mother Marathon.

    Is there any way to challenge the porky statue later on?

    For context I'm in the portion of porky's tower where he has the game show going on. I looked up a walkthrough to see how far I was in the game and noticed that it listed the statute as a boss before the building. I wanted to challenge this boss but I don't want to climb all the way back down so is it still possible to fight it later?

    So I bought a gba copy of Mother 1+2 online and it said that mother 2 was still in the process of being translated. Would it be translated enough to understand all of the story dialog? I just don't want to start playing through and part way through have no idea what people are saying.

    Any tips for grinding for the goddess ribbon?

    I wanted to grind for a few specific 1/128 items. I've already done the sword of kings and the broken antenna. However I'm having a lot of trouble while grinding for the goddess ribbon mainly due to the fact that I can never get into single battles ghost of Starmen so I keep getting metotites. Are there any tricks that could possibly help? Thank you!

    Good uncensor patch for earthbound?

    So im about to do my first playthrough of earthbound. However i would like a patch to uncensor the game. Im not looking for something that changes all the dialogue from the original like maternalbound. Im looking for just uncensored. Like changing cafe back to bar and changing pokey to porky. And maybe uncensoring some censored dialogue, like stuff referencing death.

    TL;DR looking for a patch to uncensor earthbound while keeping the american localization charm.
