    EarthBound would've been pretty rad on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive! Main reason being: the OST.

    EarthBound is known for having uncanny music and sound effects. The Genesis can make those! EarthBound often uses a trumpet sound, and it can be imitated by that Yamaha soundchip pretty well, I think. There are also 8-bit, NES-ish sounds in the game, mostly in the battles, and the Genesis has that. Porky means business could be turned into an actual metal song easily, just listen to Last Springsteen from Contra: Hard Corps, and you'll know what I mean.

    Aside from the soundtrack, EarthBound would've also worked because the story takes place in the modern era instead of being a fantasy RPG, just like numerous Genesis titles. It's a 'murican-style game, and the console sold most of its units in the USA, not Japan, where the SNES and the PC Engine were the dominant systems.

    I'm telling you guys, Halken could've made a port, and it would've been benefitial to them.

    Since Nintendo recently announced Advance Wars remakes, I really wish if they make an EarthBound remake, I want to see Ness in glorious HD.

    Stars on the Battle Memory screen - English version 1.3

    I recently played through Mother 3 and was aiming for a 100% completed Battle Memory, but upon logging the front and back sprite of every enemy, I only got a gold star, and not a silver + gold star.

    I contacted the one who worked on this patch, Lorenzooone, on Twitter, which had this to say:

    Hello, the stars had three issues: They stayed over the layer that turns Blue when you press START, they were constantly being printed, and so they could flicker, and they could end up being on top of other sprites, like the NKC one. To fix the "position" one, the number of stars was changed from 2 to 1, and now the colour changes depending on how complete your Battle Memory is. Bronze = All front. Silver = All Back. Gold = All Front and Back.

    So for v1.3 players, a single gold star indicates 100% completion!

    I Have a feeling Nintendo is planning to revive this series for the switch... Advance Wars is surprisingly back from the dead, Nintendo last year said that the Hibonichi Mother Project was leading up to something bigger for Mother fans! I have this gut feeling about it.
