    I was watching a satirical YouTube Video about music when I came across something interesting. Some of you may know that the Mother series does not shy away from on the nose puns for names, like Porky or Neckbeard and Skinhead. Even some more clever ones, like the Kuma in Kumatora meaning bear in Japanese, which explains her notorious tomboyishnes.

    Some of you may already know this, but I found it interesting and worth posting nonetheless. The Magypsies names are based off of the seven Modes of music, being, Ionian, Dorian, Phrygrian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian.

    This also explains why Ionia and Aeolia are so integral to the story, one being the one who teaches Lucas PK Love, and the other seemingly being the leader of the Magypsies. As Ionian and Aeolian are the two that are used most often. Ionian and Aeolian are also called Major and Minor respectively.

    My knowledge on the subject is limited, but perhaps something about the mode Locrian made it so that she was the one who betrayed them and became Mr. Fassad (Which is also a pun. Say it out loud, would you?).

    It's very interesting how they were able to implement such great stories behind the character's names. I don't know if it was Itoi or Tomato who did this in the first place. But I really appreciate the references, they're quite fun.

    Earthbound final boss theory

    My theory is that giygas is actually ness. My reason for thinking so is that dr andonuts says you have to go back in time 10 years. Ness is about 10 years old. When you fight giygas's first stage, it's an egg with ness's face on it. Also, in the flashback scene of the game, it shows a small baby which is supposed to be ness having psychic abilities. The reason giygas looks like a fetus is because you go back and time to kill something that is poisoning the baby version of ness. That's how ness is still alive after you fight it, you did not kill yourself as a baby, you killed the virus latching on to a baby version of yourself.

    Would you ever be interested in a Mother 4?

    As we know, Mother 3 is supposed to be the last Mother game. However, would anyone be opposed to a Mother 4? If they came back with one last game. I'm on the fence, so convince me!

    Do they just tell eachother apart by sense or do they have a first name like Stewart Saturn so they all have Saturn as a last name.
