    Maybe I don't know if its been officially talked about yet - but I feel like Itoi and Nintendo directly aren't going to release Mother 3. Someone higher up (and Itoi himself) must have known /know it was professionally translated and is available for everyone to play. They haven't taken serious efforts to stop it or even sue the people who translated it and made it free to play.

    I think they were like "yeah. That's good enough - we don't need to release it officially and waste money."

    But then I also think.. well why don't they give us merch. Or directly talk about it in Nintendo Directs.. or reference it in anything other than Smash Bros.

    It seems this community is at a weird stand point where we're waiting for our boss to officially appreciate us for all our patience and hard work. I guess that's what is keeping this community alive.

    Just some thoughts..

    Hey.

    Earlier I was browsing the mother 3 fan translation page when I accidentally clicked on the link to download the patch for Mother 3 (not the game itself), I then deleted the file, should I be fine legally? I do not have the ROM for mother 3 and I didn't open or use the patch files.
