    I have tried several times via roms but I'd lose my game every time bc they were hacked and I'm not sure where to look to play it legit. Eb/mother 2 is my fave game of all time.

    Actually, never played mother either but I was never sure where to find it w an English language.

    I never liked how the series ended

    I love the game. I hate the ending. Let me explain.

    The parts leading up to Porky is awesome and gets you pumped up but after his boss it goes straight downhill. It's like Shigesato Itoi wanted to make a downer ending but couldn't decide if he should kill everyone or not. It's the end of the series, so it doesn't matter, we don't need the characters anymore, right? So we see the island get uprooted and realistically the whole planet gets 2012'd, we walk around in the dark wondering what just happened, the end text is all blurry from your own tears and people start talking to you and saying they're all okay, then they say bye and thanks and come back soon and it's over. ...Huh?

    It just comes right after one of the saddest things I've ever seen in fiction, and kicks your ass right out the cinema. Kinda like Blood Debts but slower. And I've heard it all too. I get it's supposed to be open ended but jusus christ I've seen it done much better ended than this. I know I'm supposed to come to my own conclusions but there's literally nothing to go off of here. There was barely even a resolution to the story let alone to any of the character arcs besides maybe Claus'. A bad example but imagine if Shrek 4 ended like this. Right when everything's in the middle of disappearing, the screen goes black and you only hear audio for the rest of the movie until the credits. It's like a book with the end pages replaced with a blank "write your own" section. I think the unused one at least would have been more conclusive.

    I also heard of people feeling the same way at first but warming up to it later but I've sat on it for several years and it's still disappointing to me. I just... don't get it. Can't be the only one either, right? Right?? ...hey where'd this new asshole come from

    Mother International - An All-In-One Language Patcher For the MOTHER Series.

    Introducing MOTHER International

    Mother International is a built-in patching program, that has currently made and or known translations of all of the MOTHER titles. This program ideally is to lower the confusion of learning to patch things, knowing the differences between .ips or .ebp, etc. etc. Essentially what this program does is allow a user to drag and drop whatever (Legally Dumped ROM) of the MOTHER series and patch it to a more native language.

    Note: Not *every* language is supported, keep in mind that these are translations made by others across several different communities. The goal hopefully is to maybe encourage other folks to make more fan-translations.

    Why make a program like this?

    I figured a program like this would be resourceful, mostly because it has been a common occurrence, especially for non-speaking people to be unable to play this series because it's not in an accessible language. The other reason I figured was preservation, and having a program that had all of the translations in one place as a single download would make things easier to follow, instead of patches being scattered all over the place.

    What languages are supported?

    Below is a list of supported languages for this program on initial release:

    How to Install

    Installation of Mother International is pretty simple, since this program is in Java. Eventually it'll be made to support different OS systems such as Mac & Linux but for the time being Windows is the only system currently supported.

    To install Mother International please follow the instructions closely below:

    1. Visit this website to install the latest 64bit version of Java. (32Bit is supported too!)(edited)

    1. Navigate to Java SE Development Kit 14.0.2, or latest version & install it If you already have a 64bit version of Java installed, then you can ignore this step. [Note: If you're running Java 32bit, you can use the 32bit version down below and it should work fine.]

    3. Grab the latest version of MOTHER International (The latest version can be found at the bottom of this channel.) If you followed these instructions the program should look something like this

    FAQ

    Q: May I have source code to your program?

    A: Currently, I will not be releasing source code for this program until it's ready. Once it's good to go, it'll be available on Windows, Mac, & Linux, and a master file will be available as well.

    Q: My language isn't supported! What gives?

    A: All of the patches are made by other people, so there's a chance that your language may not be supported at this time, with future updates and more people stepping to the plate to make translations, the more likely your language would be supported. My hope is that this program encourages people to make more patches, so everyone can play & enjoy MOTHER.

    Q: Will you support ROM Hacks?

    A: Initially; no. I want to finalize the patcher for translations only at this time. I do intend on releasing a Mother International+ (plus) version that supports archived ROM Hacks from Starmen.net and other places across the net. Preservation is a big part of this as well, so making this as a 1 time download for everything makes it easier for everyone.

    Q: Will a website version of this be made?

    A: Possibly, we considered that a website version of this would be easier and more beneficial but at the cost of hosting and not being able to personalize it as we have with this program we'll see what we can do.

    Q: Is this.. finished or?

    A: This probably will never be finished, just like Mother Forever or any other project, it's an on going, ever changing process.

    Q: This is taking too long to patch, Why?

    A: Unfortunately; the patcher is based on your hardware, so patching can't be really speed up or slowed down. Typically patches can take anywhere between 10-20 seconds or 1-2 minutes. Depends on the game, what patch it is, etc. It's the best we can do.

    Q: Something isn't right/ this doesn't work!

    Below is a .exe file for Mother International! I sincerely hope you enjoy. Keep in mind this isn't a finished program and there will likely be changes made to it. Currently, animations for MOTHER3 and the logo are not supported just yet. All other bugs and issues may present itself as more people try the program / use it.     M3 Chapter 4 Help

    What level should I have Lucas and Boney at heading into Titiboo? I didn't really run in to a whole lot of enemies on my way but the Pigtunia's and Slimey Slugs really kicked my butt. I have Boney at I believe level 16 and Lucas at 15. I'm revitalized in Kumatora's hot spring. Any suggestions?
